All too often coach education and training is left to the coaches and they are encouraged to enroll on external courses. We support the proposition of the Ugandan Volleyball Federation that our new course will supplement external programs and significantly improve the coaching in Uganda. Outcomes will include the creation of a strong philosophy towards education and training of the players and consistency with the committee’s purpose. The purpose of the Basic Level Certification Course is to educate volleyball coaches in the rules of the game, basic understanding of coaching, physical fitness, and we know this will develop self and community pride, teach sportsmanship and provide all the attributes to be a competent volleyball coach.
